Designed for today’s busy learner, Sarah’s sandwich proved that healthy food doesn’t have to be complicated. Her recipe combined fresh vegetables, crisp lettuce, juicy tomato, avocado, lean chicken and delicious Clover Cheddar Cheese on wholesome seeded bread, creating a meal that was both nutritious and full of flavour.
The “Sandwich On The Go” challenge encouraged learners to think beyond the ordinary lunchbox by designing a sandwich that could easily be enjoyed between classes, before sports practice or while travelling to competitions. Sarah embraced the challenge by focusing on freshness, balance and convenience, while ensuring every bite delivered exceptional taste.
What truly impressed the judges was her attention to detail. From the careful layering of ingredients to the vibrant presentation, Sarah demonstrated that food can be both practical and visually appealing. Her sandwich scored highly for creativity, presentation and overall flavour, making it one of the standout entries of the competition.
Speaking after the judging, Sarah shared that she wanted to create something every high school learner would enjoy.
“A great sandwich should be quick to make, easy to carry and something that gives you energy throughout the day. I wanted to show that healthy can also be exciting,” she said.
The Clover Stack Masters competition is about much more than making sandwiches. It encourages learners to develop creativity, problem-solving, teamwork and confidence while discovering the importance of healthy eating and food presentation.
Congratulations to Sarah Willemse for raising the standard and showing exactly what it means to create a true Sandwich On The Go. Her inspiring entry has certainly set the benchmark for the rest of the competition, and we can’t wait to see what our young chefs create next.
Who will be the next Clover Stack Master?
