The Inside Story
By Lara Zulu, Girls Hockey U17A – 2027
Monday was "wear your team colours" day, Tuesday was the opening and braai, and the school has been buzzing ever since. I don't think I've ever seen SchoolDemo this excited.
Our U17A hockey team plays at 13:00 on Astro A, right when the crowds are biggest. We've been joking that we need to play well just so we don't get chirped by the rugby boys afterwards!
Behind the jokes, we're very focused. We've worked hard on our fitness and our passing, and our coach has helped us believe we can match any team in the province.
HS Menlopark, we're ready for you.
