The Inside Story
By Simone Malan, Girls Netball U18A – 2027
Before practice on Tuesday, our coach asked each matric in the U18A team to write a message for the U14 netball girls, to be handed out after InterSchools.
Writing mine made me emotional. I thought back to my first InterSchools: how scared I was, how big the opposition looked and how proud I felt in the SchoolDemo dress. I told the U14s to enjoy the nerves, because one day they'll miss them.
On Wednesday at 14:00 it's our turn to show the younger girls what SchoolDemo netball is all about. HS Menlopark are a strong side, but we have five years of teamwork on our side.
Let's go, U18A.
