The Inside Story
By Amahle Rossouw, Girls Hockey U14A – 2027
My parents gave me a new hockey stick for my birthday, and I've been saving it for InterSchools. On Wednesday at 10:00 on Astro A, it finally comes out of its cover.
Our U14A hockey team has improved so much this term. In January we could hardly get the ball out of our own half. Now we're passing in triangles and creating real chances in the circle. Coach says we play like a team that has been together for years.
I play midfield, which means lots of running. I've been doing extra fitness with my dad in the evenings, and I think it's paying off.
HS Menlopark, the U14As are ready!
