The Inside Story
By Sophie Sithole, Girls Netball U15A – 2027
My little sister made a countdown calendar for my InterSchools game, and every morning she crosses off another day. Today there are only a few squares left.
Our U15A team plays at 11:00 on Netball A Court against HS Menlopark. Last year we lost to them by two goals, so this one matters. We've spent the term working on our movement in the attacking third, and our passing is so much quicker now.
The best part of this week has been the school spirit. Teachers keep wishing us luck, and the U18 girls came to watch our practice on Tuesday and gave us tips.
One more square to cross off. I can't wait.
