First Game on Astro A

By Kayla Govender, Girls Hockey U14A – 2027

Playing on Astro A at InterSchools is a big deal. It's the main turf, with the stands right next to it, and the whole school can see you.

I'm the goalkeeper for our U14A team, which means I'll be the one in all the padding at 10:00 on Wednesday morning. People always ask if I'm scared of the ball. Honestly, I'm more scared of not getting to it!

This week our coach has been firing shots at me from every angle, and our defenders have been practising clearing the ball quickly. We've promised each other that Menlopark will have to work very hard for every goal.

See you at the turf, SchoolDemo!
