The Inside Story

As Goal Keeper, my job is to stop the ball before it gets anywhere near the post. It's a big responsibility, especially at InterSchools, and this week I've been thinking about it a lot.
Our coach says defence starts in your head. So every night I picture Wednesday: the whistle, the first centre pass, the Menlopark shooter in front of me. I picture myself staying calm, jumping at the right time and getting my hand to the ball.
My family is coming to watch, plus my gran, who has never seen me play. I want her to see what our team can do.
