The Inside Story
By Kea Engelbrecht, Girls Hockey U15A – 2027
Our U15A hockey team has a secret short-corner routine, and I'm not allowed to say anything more than that. All I can tell you is that we've practised it about a hundred times this week and it finally works every time.
We play at 11:00 on Astro A against HS Menlopark. They beat us last year, but we were a very different team then. This year we've been working on our structure and our patience on the ball.
The best part of InterSchools week is how the whole school gets behind every team. On Tuesday the rugby boys came to watch our practice and actually cheered for our drills.
Wednesday, watch our short corners.
